A talent encouraged a (somewhat) long time ago...

As a class project in 5th Grade, Sharon drew a picture, called "Two Girls in the Mercantile," inspired by the Little House on the Prairie series written by Laura Ingalls Wilder.  Her drawing was sent to the author. 

     The artist at 9 years old, in 5th Grade.

To her delight and inspiration, Sharon received an answer from the author.

Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote, " You will be illustrating books some day I'm sure."   Ms. Wilder was not only a much-loved author, but also an inspiration to young talent.

Note the cost of postage (and, Sharon is not that old.)
